Austrians getting prepared for Pléiades

First launch of the Pléiades twin satellite mission is foreseen at year’s turn 2009/2010. Due to its Very High Resolution sensors Pléiades will be particularly useful for rapid cartography and multi-spectral terrain analyses.
Austrian organizations have in various respects been active contributors to the mission implementation so far and will pursue with a utilization of the valuable satellite data as soon they become available. EOX and partner company Technopolis are tasked by the Austrian Aerospace Agency to analyze planned applications in Austria and to provide consultancy for optimum mission exploitation.
